Who performs the assessment?

INDYA Sports Dietitians
Your anthropometric assessment will be carried out by one of INDYA’s sports dietitians.
All our dietitians are qualified, registered professionals specializing in sports nutrition. They are also trained to perform the ISAK Restricted Profile and accurately interpret the results.
Measurements are taken using a standardized protocol and professional anthropometric equipment, helping ensure consistent data that can be compared with future assessments to track your progress over time.
Analyze your body composition
Your weight alone does not always tell the full story.
You can weigh exactly the same while losing body fat, gaining muscle mass, or improving your overall body composition. An anthropometric assessment helps identify these changes through a range of body measurements.
The assessment allows us to:
● Better understand your body composition.
● Track changes in skinfold measurements.
● Monitor changes in body circumferences.
● Assess your progress objectively.
● Better adjust your nutrition and training.
● Set realistic goals.

FAQS
Can I get an anthropometric assessment without being subscribed to INDYA?
Yes. You can book an anthropometric assessment even if you are not subscribed to INDYA.
The assessment can be booked as a standalone service and costs €39. It is carried out in person at our center in Valencia, and you will receive your report with the measurements and results by email afterwards.
How should I prepare for the anthropometric assessment?
To obtain the most consistent measurements possible, we recommend wearing comfortable, lightweight clothing that allows skinfolds, body circumferences, and bone breadths to be measured properly.
It is also advisable to avoid intense exercise immediately before the assessment. If you plan to compare your results with future assessments, try to repeat the measurements under similar conditions.
Is an anthropometric assessment invasive?
No. Anthropometry is a non-invasive assessment.
During the session, the dietitian takes a series of body measurements, including skinfolds, body circumferences, and bone breadths, using professional anthropometric equipment and a standardized ISAK protocol.
The session takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
How often should I repeat an anthropometric assessment?
It depends on your goals and where you are in your training plan.
Repeating the assessment periodically allows you to compare measurements and objectively track changes in your body composition, such as changes in skinfolds or body circumferences.
For the comparison to be reliable, it is best to carry out each assessment under similar conditions and using the same protocol.
