Exercise Metabolism Test in Valencia
Discover how your body uses carbohydrates and fat while you exercise and optimize your performance.
What is an Exercise Metabolism Test?
This test measures, in real time, which energy sources your body uses at different exercise intensities: carbohydrates, fat, and protein.
Using indirect calorimetry and an incremental test performed on a treadmill or bike trainer, we can determine:
-
How much fat and carbohydrate you use at each intensity.
-
Your FatMAX zone — the intensity at which you reach your maximum rate of fat oxidation.
-
The intensity at which your body begins to rely more heavily on carbohydrates.
-
How much energy you actually need during different stages of training or competition.
This allows us to plan your sports nutrition with a level of precision that is difficult to achieve using traditional methods.
